Rice and TMC Collaborator Fund
Available to Rice faculty in all disciplines, the fund awards seed grants up to $50,000 for new collaborative research projects with faculty of Texas Medical Center health-related institutions. Rice ENRICH will fund half to the Rice co-PI, with matching support required of the collaborator at his/her institution. The seed grants should lead to self-sustaining, nationally competitive research programs that will address critically important problems in or relevant to health care.
Proposals will be accepted in FY27.

Rice and Baylor College of Medicine Innovating Solutions in Surgery Seed Grant Program
This program has been established to advance collaborative and interdisciplinary research by bringing together faculty from the Rice School of Engineering and Computing, the Rice Department of Chemistry, and clinicians from the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery (DoS) at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM).
The award provides up to $50,000, with Rice ENRICH funding half for the Rice co-PI and BCM DoS supporting the remaining half for its investigator.
The seed grants should lead to self-sustaining, nationally competitive research programs that will address critically important problems related to surgery.
Proposals will be accepted until July 13, 2026.
